The Process to unleashing your dogs full potential

Step 1 : Consultation

The first step is setting up a consultation. During this time we will go over a handful of tasks and conversations to see where you and your dog stands.
We will discuss you and your dogs history. This will help me see the background you have with dogs and handling and understand where your dog is coming from (especially those who are reactive/aggressive/possessive).
Then we will see where you guys are at with basic training, You and your dog will be asked to go through a series of tasks so I can evaluate where YOUR handling skills are at and what level of focus/ temperament your dogs has.
We will then do a test with "introducing" a new dog. This step will vary significantly depending on the route desired and temperament of the dog.
From there we will spend a little time on the first steps of training and what training package will best fit you and your dog.

Step 2: Choosing The Right Training

This is the most important step. We need to talk about the goals you have for you and your dog. To pinpoint where you are now and where you want to go.

Building the relationship between you and your dog and setting YOU up with as much information as possible to take on any situation with success is our number 1 goal for basic obedience and puppy training. The structure is fun and playful. We incorporate games, learn about different equipment, the value of food vs. freedom (your release cue), how to appropriately apply pressure to your dog and when the situation arises how to correct your with the proper timing to make it very black and white for your dog what behavior was unwanted and then proceed to redirect your little one to a behavior that is more appropriate.

If your dog has the slightest bit of reactivity, we will have to go down that route. Assessment of this behavior takes time because there are many different reasons why your dog may be acting the way they are. This training is delicate and takes time. We need to "empty their cup" of fear and nerves to then "refill their cup" with confidence. and same goes for you, the owner. We want to make sure you are a confident leader and can take on any obstacle thrown your way, understand what your dog is telling you and how to use the world as your tool box.

The direction you desire to go should be discussed during the consultation.
